The love of God in Jesus Christ is truly the answer to all of our needs. God could have chosen to give us anything. He could have given us money (not that He still doesn’t provide this), He could have given us power, He could have given us a number of things, but the thing that He chose to give us was His Son.
Jesus was the answer to all of our spiritual needs. All of our deepest hurts and desires. The love of God truly transforms us and makes us whole again. The Bible says, “Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God”. A pure heart is one that is filled with the love of our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. No man has known this love, a love so powerful that He gave His life, until they come to know that one Who truly is love.
Grace is such a powerful word, and it is a word that can only be explained through the love that God is. On the cross, grace is personified. God never gave us a definition of grace, He showed it to us. He painted us a beautiful picture for all eyes to see. That picture may have been an ugly one at the time, but it was a beautiful display of the awesome power of love of Jesus Christ.
This love the world has never known, and had it known this love, I believe things would truly be a whole lot better. You see, love has the power to change. The power to heal. The power to set free and to capture the heart and the mind. It’s what we were created for. To know God and the love that He not only offers, but that He is.
So let this precious love of God in our Saviour Jesus Christ set you free. For this love has a power to heal you. It has a power to transform you. It has a power to take you higher than the heavens themselves, and nothing can hold you back. Grow in the grace, knowledge and love of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen!
