Sing and make melody in your heart with joy unto the Lord! God loves to hear you sing, and when you sing praises unto Him, all of your worries begin to disappear. When we give thanks we are filled with the Holy Ghost (Eph. 5:18) and surrounded by the presence of Almighty God. A joyful, thankful heart is a beautiful thing in the eyes of God, a very precious thing.
Ask Him to fill you with His joy and you will be singing in no time! Ask Him to place a song of joy and thanksgiving upon your lips. The Psalms are full of songs inspired by God Himself. Great songs of praise and joy (particularly the last ten or so). Actually the word for Psalms, can mean either songs or praises (depending on what language you are looking at, I think both are appropriate here!). Singing and making melody in our hearts or out loud unto God is a wonderful thing and a tremendous blessing and God loves to hear you sing and to let Him know your love and thankfulness for all that He does. Even if you have a bad voice, and are no American Idol, God still likes to here you sing his praise. I sure do like to sing, and am glad there is at least someone sho doesn’t mind when I do!
