Today I'm going to talk about the topic of children and how they can effect our lives and really help to open our eyes to the love that God has for each and every one of His Children.

It says in Genesis5:21-22
"And Enoch lived sixty five years, and begat Methuselah; Then Enoch walked with God three hundred years after he became the father of Methuselah, and he had other sons and daughters."

You see, that little boy Methuselah changed Enoch. I believe that he inspired old Enoch. And Enoch began to walk with God after that little boy was born. You see, before that, the Bible doesn't say much about old Enoch, but after he had that child his life was changed dramatically for the better!

I believe that little baby boy must have touched old Enoch's heart! Maybe it was him seeing the look on that little boy's face or having to comfort the poor little baby in the middle of the night that really changed Enoch's outlook on life and began to open his eyes and heart to who God really was.

Maybe old Enoch began to understand the love that a Father has for a child. Maybe he began to see the love that God had for him. Something about that little baby boy changed that man Enoch and drove him closer to the Lord.

What a wonderful blessing children truly are to us! What a wonderful gift from God they are. How they are so able to touch our lives and to change our hearts for the better. So innocent and dear. Full of trust and care. These are the qualities that we can learn from (see Faith Like a Child). Sometimes we can see the error of our ways by looking at children. In the face of a child it seems that our selfish ways are magnified. We must learn to be more giving around them. We must put away some of our old self and seek the welfare of another.

We can really learn from children. We can learn from their example. We can taught to be more accepting, more caring. These are the qualities of a child, and they can truly change our lives forever. God Bless.
