God has not forgotten nor forsaken His creation. When sin entered into God's creation, the fellowship with God and man was broken. A Saviour was needed! You see, before the fall of man (Genesis chapters 2-3), man enjoyed fellowship with God. When this fellowship was severed, something was needed.
God always provides a solution to all of our problems. He is our great Fixer! God has given the Holy Spirit, both in the Old Testament and now, that we might be able to fellowship with Him. He has not forgotten us!
God does care, and with the presence of His Spirit, the life of God is closer to us than even our very breath. Jesus Christ came to fulfill all what we couldn't do on our own (Matt. 5:17), for He was the perfect sinless one, and the only one who had the ability to walk perfectly in this life. Not you or me, but Him.
Because He walked perfectly in this life, He satisfied all the requirements of a righteous life, living perfectly in union with the Father (John 17:21). When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, we are baptised in the Holy Spirit and given an entrance into the Kingdom of God ("Peace, Joy and Righteousness in the Holy Spirit" Rom. 14:17). We are immediately identified with the Lord Jesus Christ, His life becomes our own (Rom. 6:3-4).
Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? Romans 6:3
We have been identified with His life and death! We are given a new identity, a new righteousness that can only be found in the Only Begotten Son of the Father, all by His working and effort, none of our own (John 4:38). God has not forgotten us but He has given us a great gift in His Son, that through His Holy Spirit we may know that He is here for us always, and will never leave us nor forsake us for His great name's sake!(Hebrews 13:5)
