The heart of our Heavenly Father is one of tender compassion and mercy.
Exodus 34:6 "Then the LORD passed by in front of him [Moses] and proclaimed, "The LORD, the LORD God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth"
When we see Jesus we see the heart of the Father.
Mark 1:41 "Moved with compassion, Jesus stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, "I am willing; be cleansed."
When we see Jesus healing, we see God's desire for all to be healed and made whole.
1 Timothy 2:4 "Who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."
We see Him as the great Healer that He is.
Psalm 107:20 "He sent His word and healed them."
In also see Him as the one who seeks to bless us.
Numbers 6:23 "Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, 'Thus you shall bless the sons of Israel. You shall say to them: The LORD bless you, and keep you; The LORD make His face shine on you, And be gracious to you; The LORD lift up His countenance on you, And give you peace."
God asked Moses to speak this blessing upon His people.
John 17:15 "I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one."
We see Him as the Great Protector.
John 7:37 "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink."
We see Him as the Great Provider.
John 6:58 "This is the bread which came down out of heaven [the Lord Jesus Christ]; not as the fathers ate and died [the manna]; he who eats this bread will live forever."
We see Him as the Bread of Life.
John 6:48 "I am the bread of life"
We see Him as the Great Saviour on the cross.
Mark 15:25 "It was the third hour when they crucified Him."
We see Him as our Great Burden Bearer.
John 19:17 "And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha"
We see Him as the Great Saviour of the world.
Luke 19:10 "For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost"
The heart of the Father is deep and never ending. I don't think we will ever get to the end of the depths of His love for us, in this life or quite possibly in the next! Thankfully we have such a wonderful Father in Heaven. Let us adore Him and give Him praise for all the goodness that He truly is! God Bless!
