The Lord is our Helper. He is our ever present strength in our times of weakness. He is always here to help.

Matthew 28:20 "And, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world."

The Lord has also sent us a helper. The Lord Jesus Christ said that He would sent the Holy Spirit upon us after His death, burial and resurrection. That time is now! We now have the helper, the Holy Spirit here to lead, to guide and to deliver us from sin.

John 16:7 "But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you."

The Holy Spirit helps us through everyday situations. God meets our needs just as He met our needs 2000 years ago by sending His Son to die for our sins. (See Who is Jesus Christ?)

But just as Peter was sinking into the sea when the Lord lifted Him up and helped Him, so does He help us today.

Matt. 14:25-31 [Peter walks on water] "Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear.
But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.” And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” So He said, Come. And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”
And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”

Just as the Lord helped Peter, He will do the same for us today! We need not fear for He is our Strength and our Helper. He is our place of refuge in times of need. God will bless us and He will lift us up as we look unto Him. We are not alone! But, truly the Father and the Son is with us always, even unto the end of this age. Let us look to Him and He will strengthen us and raise us up. There is nothing to great for Him to accomplish. If we would only look to Him, all of our troubles will begin to vanish away. He is our helper and here to truly help. God Bless.
