The Lord Jesus gave two parables to us about persistence, He said:
Luke 18:1-8 "Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, saying: “There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man. Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, ‘Get justice for me from my adversary.’ And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself, ‘Though I do not fear God nor regard man, yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.’”
Luke 11:5-9 "Then He said to them, "Suppose one of you has a friend, and goes to him at midnight and says to him, 'Friend, lend me three loaves; for a friend of mine has come to me from a journey, and I have nothing to set before him'; and from inside he answers and says, 'Do not bother me; the door has already been shut and my children and I are in bed; I cannot get up and give you [anything]. I tell you, even though he will not get up and give him [anything] because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will get up and give him as much as he needs. So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you."
So from these two Parables we can see the power of persistence, not only in the spiritual realm, but in the natural as well. Just remember that some things come easier than others. Some things come right away and some things need time. But in those things that need time, remember to be persistent. Keep on going no matter what. Don't give up. Remember that in due time you will reap if you sow. Always remember to keep up the good fight of faith and stay strong in the Lord. The blessings are eternal. God Bless.
