Although you can never put a price on love, God has shown His own love for us in this.
Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinner, Christ died for us.”
You see, Jesus Christ, and His death and Resurrection, is God’s love toward us. There are many ways God could have chosen to show His love for us, but just as Romans 5:8 says, He chose to do it by sending His Son to die for us. Christ showed God’s love when He went to the cross, knowing the burden He would bear, and not for anyone who deserved it, but for those who don’t deserve it, that is us.
Romans 5:7 “For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.”
Yet the whole point is the even as sinners, even as the chiefest of sinners, as Paul referred to himself as, Christ still chose to die. That’s love, and that’s the love of God manifested in His Son Jesus Christ, and His powerful death on the cross. That’s how God decided to show His love to us. For all eternity we shall know this love. What a great God we have! Amen.

So right! I also wrote something about this here:
