Patience is something that our God would have us all to learn. Patience is also a fruit of knowing Him (see Galatians 5:22-23).
Imagine the Israelites having to wait before the Red Sea for God to act. Meanwhile, one of the most powerful armies of all the world is nipping at their heals and closing fast open though. But they dare not move, not without their God that is. So as the Egyptian army is steadfastly closing in on them, Moses waits in patience, only holding up the staff which God had given him, for he knew that God would act, he knew that God would show himself strong. This faith gave him such great patience and perseverance, waiting upon the Lord our God.
And God did act, He came through and showed himself strong, as He always does for those who wait upon Him and trust His might hand.
Psalm 46:10 "Be still, and know that I am God"

Waiting on His Miracles
Seeking His Mercy
I love this verse, Mark 10:48, 'Many were sternly telling him to be quiet, but he kept crying out all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!"'. (Note: Son of David is a Messianic title for the Christ, this man was also confessing Christ as the Messiah in this verse. What a blessing!)
This man understood that he had nothing to bring to the Lord, nothing to offer. He understood that he needed the mercy of the Lord, and he sought that mercy! God bless his soul! So what happened to him, let's read on.
Mark 10:49-52
"And Jesus stopped and said, "Call him here." So they called the blind man, saying to him, "Take courage, stand up! He is calling for you."
Throwing aside his cloak, he jumped up and came to Jesus.
And answering him, Jesus said, "What do you want Me to do for you?" And the blind man said to Him, "Rabbi, I want to regain my sight!"
And Jesus said to him, "Go; your faith has made you well." Immediately he regained his sight and began following Him on the road."
Simple, huh? Yes, it is! Very simple. Very straightforward. The man came, and he was healed. It is the same for you and me this day. We come, He heals. Remember He is the same Yesterday, today, and forever.
Hebrews 13:8
"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever."
He is unchanging and His love is unchanging. Come to Him and seek His mercy, for He shall pour it unto all that seek Him.
Micah 6:8
"He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."
Walk with the Lord and love His mercy. Jesus told a parable to those who would listen.
Luke 18:9-14
"Also He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:
“Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.
The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.’
And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’
I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
Seek His mercy, for that is what He desires, and He shall give it. God bless!
