Christ spoke something great at the end of His sermon on the Mount, He said,
Matthew 7:24-26 KJV “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand”
He never said the storms of life wouldn’t come, but rather that when they did come, he who had build his life upon the teachings of our Lord, would be like unto one who would stand strong and persevere.
Without these words, the wind and the waves shall crash down the house, but with these words and teachings, we shall persevere through anything! Praise the Lord. God bless.

I believe as a ordinary christian we need to build our life around the word of God. There are many of us try to obey this word but seems to lost in temptation and worldly need. Men are not perfect and God knows it.
I believe true christian carries the word in the heart not from the external apperance and be discipline. God didnt ask us to be perfect like him but be atune to his word and His gracious forgiveness is always with us.
Yes, we need to build our life on The Word. Without His Word alive and active in our life, we are building “our house” on sinking sand.
