You know how Jesus said that we are to love God with all of our heart, and how this is of such importance? (Mark 12:30)
Well, I believe that as we spend time with our Father, we are richly rewarded. I think that as we get to know Him and let Him into our lives more and more, that we grow to love Him more and more, for there is nothing about Him that we can not love. He is perfect and He bends over backwards to help us out and to show He cares when we ask and I think that as we get to know Him it would be impossible not to love Him with all of our hearts.
It's a shame that in our fallen states it is hard for us to love at times, and sometimes almost impossible, but with God all things are possible and I think the love for our Father will change everything! God Bless!

Our Love for God

Ever Ask, "Is there a God?"
Have you ever wondered, "Is there truly a God?". And then you look up at the sun, or the stars, or a beautiful light, and you realize that out there somewhere, something or someone had to create all this. It seems like there is too much beauty for it all to be chance. And then there are those moments that make you think. Moments of true beauty. Moments that are so Divine that they take your breath away and leave you wondering. A little child, a warm hug, a gentle laugh. Something that happens throughout the busy day that makes you stop and think, there must be more.
These are the moments that make us think. Sometimes they may be few and far between. Some may be closer than others. But these are the moments that define reality. That make us really think, God must be watching now, and He must want me to see this. He must be there, and He must care enough to go out of His way to do this for me. Maybe He has never stopped caring, even if I forgot about Him, He never forgot about me. Maybe He has been there all along, and in those split moments we see a little glimpse of what is really going on. A little glimpse of who He is, what He is truly like. These are the moments that make up life and eternity. God bless!

Not Afraid to Sin
In life I find that it's easy sometimes to look at all the rules and regulations and forget how imperfect sometimes we truly are. Life is about mistakes and learning from those mistakes. I think that it is in our mistakes that God teaches us the most. It's were we learn the greatest lessons in life. When we see the error of our ways we also see the beauty of forgiveness and second chances.
I think that it's easy sometimes for us to lock ourselves away and hide from daily life, and some people do. Maybe you don't trust yourself. Maybe you are afraid of what you might do.
Religion teaches us that we must be better. That we must somehow figure out a way to fix ourselves. But God says, "Just come to Me. I'll show you the better way. I'll make things right. I'll set you up on high where nobody can touch you, where nothing can harm you and you will be safe. I promise you."
God will show us the better way as we come to Him. He will give us that better life. The life we so deserve. The one that we so desire and He so desires for us. And it's ok to mess up, because when we do, He will always be there to fix whatever we do. He wouldn't be a good father if he didn't, and He is the best Father anyone could ever ask for. Try to understand His love and you will see. He wants to have a relationship with you. He wants to know you. He wants to bless your heart. There is nothing that He would not do for you. Open up your heart and see the goodness that He truly is. Allow Him to bless you as He wants to. If we have Him in our lives, we shall be eternally blessed. God bless!

God is in Control
We as Children of God are able to rest assured knowing that the Lord is in control. Although the Devil may be the god of this world (2 Cor. 4:4) and may seem to have the upper hand at times, rest assured that God will never be defeated and is always in control.
One thing I believe is that the Devil is more talk than he really is. It says that in the end we shall look upon him and narrowly consider him as the one who was able to deceive the whole world (Isaiah 14:6). Like a cat who has been shaved, I believe we shall see him for who he truly is, not that big!
Smith Wigglesworth used to say that the Devil was kind of like God's whip, His rod of chastisement to bring one to repentance and deeper faith in the One who is true life and joy. We must see God as Sovereign, as He truly is.
Look at the Book of Job where the Devil must come before God to ask permission to proceed.
Job 1:6 "Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them."
We must understand that the Devil is still subject to the Creator. He is still the created one, and God is still the one in control. God holds the cards! The Devil is the created one, and is still subject to the Lord. I believe one of the lies of the Devil is to convince the world that he is more powerful and holds more cards than he truly does. This is just not the case! God is always sovereign and He always will be. There is no great battle for first place. God has first place and He always will be first place. He is only allowing the Devil to continue until the appointed time when He shall be done away with and everything made new again!
Rest assured brethren, our Lord and God is in full control, and Jesus holds the reigns of life. As we submit to Him we shall know this blessed victory that has already been won for us in Him through our Lord Jesus Christ! We shall let Him have full reign! God Bless.

David, a Man After God's Own Heart
Much can be said about the great man of God, King David. He was a king, a poet, a musician, a warrior. But most of all, He was a man after God.
1 Samuel 13:14 "The LORD has sought out for Himself a man after His own heart, and the LORD has appointed him as ruler over His people, because you have not kept what the LORD commanded you."
This man was King David.
This does not mean that King David was perfect.
1 Kings 15:4 "He walked in all the sins of his father which he had committed before him; and his heart was not wholly devoted to the LORD his God, like the heart of his father David."
But David had a heart for God. He sought God and learned to lean on Him. He led the nation of Israel for forty years as king and he was God's man.
2 Chronicles 6:7 "Now it was in the heart of my father David to build a house for the name of the LORD, the God of Israel."
David desired to build a house for God out of His love for Him. He was a great warrior who had learned to trust God.
Psalm 56:11 "In God I have put my trust"
In fact He wrote many of the Psalms which still speak to us this very day!
King David was truly a man of God, one that is well remembered even to this day for the relationship that he had with his Lord. David truly was a man after God's own heart. God Bless!

The Heart of the Father
The heart of our Heavenly Father is one of tender compassion and mercy.
Exodus 34:6 "Then the LORD passed by in front of him [Moses] and proclaimed, "The LORD, the LORD God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth"
When we see Jesus we see the heart of the Father.
Mark 1:41 "Moved with compassion, Jesus stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, "I am willing; be cleansed."
When we see Jesus healing, we see God's desire for all to be healed and made whole.
1 Timothy 2:4 "Who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."
We see Him as the great Healer that He is.
Psalm 107:20 "He sent His word and healed them."
In also see Him as the one who seeks to bless us.
Numbers 6:23 "Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, 'Thus you shall bless the sons of Israel. You shall say to them: The LORD bless you, and keep you; The LORD make His face shine on you, And be gracious to you; The LORD lift up His countenance on you, And give you peace."
God asked Moses to speak this blessing upon His people.
John 17:15 "I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one."
We see Him as the Great Protector.
John 7:37 "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink."
We see Him as the Great Provider.
John 6:58 "This is the bread which came down out of heaven [the Lord Jesus Christ]; not as the fathers ate and died [the manna]; he who eats this bread will live forever."
We see Him as the Bread of Life.
John 6:48 "I am the bread of life"
We see Him as the Great Saviour on the cross.
Mark 15:25 "It was the third hour when they crucified Him."
We see Him as our Great Burden Bearer.
John 19:17 "And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha"
We see Him as the Great Saviour of the world.
Luke 19:10 "For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost"
The heart of the Father is deep and never ending. I don't think we will ever get to the end of the depths of His love for us, in this life or quite possibly in the next! Thankfully we have such a wonderful Father in Heaven. Let us adore Him and give Him praise for all the goodness that He truly is! God Bless!

More Blessed to Give than to Receive (Acts 20:35)
Jesus teaches us that it is much more blessed to give than to receive (Acts 20:35). Not only do we receive back when we give (Luke 6:38) but we are also blessed with the joy that is found in a life of giving.
When we give we never lose. We also receive back what we give, and at the same time we fulfill a Divine Law. A Divine Law of giving. This is the true nature of God, and anytime we follow in that true nature, in His very footsteps, we are blessed just as He is Blessed (See The Blessed God).
Also when we give we learn to love others and we come to know God more. Because God is love, when we love we shall become more like Him. We shall come to understand and to know Him. Because our minds and bodies are created after the image of God, even after the fall of man (see Genesis chapters 1-3), there still remains a part of us that has the ability to know God and to understand who He truly is. Because we are created in His image, I believe that we still have that little bit of connection, the connection that has been fully restored in Jesus Christ, giving us not only hope but a greater and greater understanding of God and His nature through His Son and through the Holy Spirit that He has given unto us as believers. God Bless!

A Love the World Has Never Seen (1 John 2:15)
There is a love that the world has never known, a love so perfect that the world has never seen nor known. This is the love of God in Jesus Christ. It is in the heart of every believer and Child of our Father. The world has no room for this kind of love, no place for a love of this kind. For this kind of love is gentle, it is kind. This kind of love thinks no evil of another. This kind of love does no wrong. The love of this kind is the perfect love of Christ in every born again believer, and as we walk with our Heavenly Father and wonderful Lord, we are perfected in this love and transformed into His spirit, His compassion, a compassion for all. This truly is a wonderful love that the world does not know, but we know Him. He truly is the one who is true love, the author of all, the and the sustainer. He is the bond and the substance that keeps us together, united as one. He is the Lord, and He is our God. God Bless.
1 John 3:2 "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is."

The Love of a Father (Matt. 7:11)
The love of a Father is a wonderful thing. God has chosen the relationship of a father and a son to represent His love for us. The father seeks to give everything to the son, and would even give up His own life for the son, which is exactly what Jesus Christ did on the cross for us. In this way God has shown His love toward us in His Son. Jesus Christ also went on to say that God's love for us as His Children is even greater than anything we have known.
Matt. 7:7-11 "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!"
God's love for us is so perfect that He has chosen to represent it by the love of a father for a son, but even our natural understanding does not compare to the true love that God has for man. Man is imperfect and has sin, but we were created in His image and continue to reflect some of these great truths of who God is, even if not perfectly.
But the love of a father for a son is a wonderful thing and a beautiful representation of God's own love for us! Come to Him and let Him reveal that special love He has for you as one of His Children.

Through the Storm
Through the storm of life there is always light on the other side. No matter how dark or dreary the situation may seem, there is always light at the end of the tunnel. The whole challenge is being able to see that light, even in the darkest trials. That light is what keeps you going, that is what motivates you to do the things that need to be done and to keep on keeping on. That is the hope that we have. Jesus gives us that hope. The Bible says that we are filled with hope by the Holy Spirit as we trust in God. He is that great light at the end of the tunnel. God is Light and in Him is no darkness.
So march on, no matter how hard times may seem, there is light at the end of the tunnel. God bless. Amen.

God is Love (1 John 4:8)
Who or what is God you ask? Well, I'm going to tell you. The Bible says that God is the God of love. And not only is He the God of all love, He also is Himself love. So what does that mean?
Well, God not only loves, but He is love. Sit back with me a second, let's try to understand this. First of all, the Bible says that we can't even comprehend the things of God without the Spirit of God. Why? Because we are carnal beings and God is a spiritual being, or spirit (John 4:24).
It's not possible for flesh and blood to see the Kingdom of God, so these things must be revealed unto us spiritually, and what better way for that than through God's own spirit?
1 Cor. 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
It's the Spirit of God that teaches us of God's love. It's the Spirit that teaches us about His characteristics and who He truly is. Why? Because it is beyond even our own finite comprehension. God is infinite and so is His love since that is what He is.
Another way that God has shown us His love is by the giving of His Son. He came to heal and deliver mankind, to show mankind that He had not forsaken nor forgotten His own creation. This love of God in Christ surpasses all knowledge and we shall never be separated from it. You have God's word on that!

Why Did the Children of Israel Have to Wander in the Wilderness?
So why was it that the Children of Israel didn't enter the Promised Land when they were supposed to, but rather spent the next forty years wandering in the Wilderness of Sinai? Today we are going to cover: The Bible itself says that it is given as an example for us to learn from, specifically the Children of Israel and the wanderings in the Desert and the mistakes they made, we are given these records to learn from, that we don't make the same mistakes, and that we learn without having to go through what they already went through. There is a famous saying that unless you learn history, you are doomed to repeat it. This is somewhat of a true statement and fits into what we are discussing today, so hold on, here we go! So what was the mistake that the Children of Israel made, you ask? Well, it was simple. All of what they went through, is a spiritual lesson for us today. To look at it, we must go all the way back in time, approximately 3500 years ago to be exact. But let's not get too concerned with technicalities, remember, this is a spiritual lesson here. As Moses was leading the Children of Israel, God asked them to travel over into the Promised Land, specifically to send twelve spies, one from each tribe and check out the land that God had already promised to them. Remember, this was a group of people who witnessed the plagues, the parting of the Red Sea, water coming from a rock, they had seen God performing miraculously, so they had no excuse not to believe that He was as powerful as He says He is and that we know He is. So after God told them to spy out the land and they sent the twelve spies, what happened next? Well, one of the most boneheaded moves on the Children of Israel's part (don't worry, we all make the same mistake, you could say we are born into it :-). After spying out the land for forty the twelve spies return with their report. And what a report they had! This land was awesome. Milk, honey, grapes, everything they needed would be provided. I'm sure even the weather was nice! So what happened? What went wrong? Well instead of acting on God's promise and entering into what God had already given them, they hesitated (sound familiar?). Call it what you will but they panicked, they feared the giants in the land more than they feared God. They didn't believe that God was big enough to do what He said He would do (give them the land), and this is from a group that had seen the mighty miracles of YHVH the Almighty, had followed the cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night, had seen Moses and the great things God did with him, all with their very own eyes. And what, they didn't trust God. They didn't enter the Promised Land. Now we flip over to Hebrews for the conclusion to this great lesson. What does Hebrews say about the Children of Israel, and what they did wrong? They didn't believe God. They didn't enter what God had already given and promised to them and they were forced to wander the desert for forty years afterward because of it (kind of a tough penalty, I know). But there were two guys we forgot to mention. These guys were a little bit different. Joshua and Caleb. What did these guys do so differently from everyone else, what was it that set them apart from the group? Well, when they came back from spying out the land, ten of the spies did not want to venture into the Promised Land, but two did. Josh and Caleb felt that if God had told them they were to take the land, that they were to take the land. These guys, unlike the rest of the group, actually got to not only see, but live in the Promised Land after the whole Wilderness incident. Why? Because they believed God! They didn't doubt what He had already said and promised to them. They were ready to go with spears in hand and take what was already theirs. By the way, this young man Joshua later went on to lead the Children of Israel into the Promised Land after Moses' death. Shows you how much faith in the Almighty pays off, right? So let's review here. The Children of Israel were forced to wander in the wilderness because of they didn't have faith in God. They doubted Him, even after they saw the miracles with their very own eyes. What else? Well, we also know that Joshua and Caleb were rewarded for the exact opposite, for believing in God and believing what He had said (taking Him for His word.) So how does this apply to us today? Well, spiritual principles never change (they are set laws, kind of like physical laws, like the law of gravity), and the spiritual principle for us to learn here is to learn to trust God. You see, God has already given us the Promised Land. This is in His Son. Jesus did it all. We enter into the Promised Land by faith. God has given it to us all ready. So lets enter in! Let's go! Joshua is the same name in Hebrew as Jesus and just as Joshua led the Children of Israel into the Promised Land, so does the Lord Jesus lead us into the Promised Land. So how do we enter? By faith. It's as simple as that. It's already been done. Christ paid the penalty. He shed His blood for you and me. He opened the way to the Father. The veil in the Temple was torn! We have access to God through Him and we are delivered of all that ails us. We only need to believe on what God has already done for us. It is finished! Amen.

The Blessed God (1 Tim. 1:11)
Scripture says that God is the "Blessed God" (1 Tim. 1:11). What exactly does this mean? To be blessed means to be filled. It means not to be lacking. So in essence, God is filled. He lacks nothing. He is the richest man in the world, the whole universe for that matter. So why does this matter to us?
Because God is blessed, He seeks to bless others. When one is blessed, they will naturally in turn bless others. Think of a really rich man with lots and lots of money, more money than he needs. So what does he do with the money? He gives it to others, right?
If you have ever heard of a grant, a lot of times this is what it is. Somebody with a lot of money, who wants to give it to someone else, and thus the grant was born.
So who does this affect us? Well, think of it like this. If you have accepted Jesus Christ and are now a Son of God, your Father is the richest man in the world! So do you lack anything? Of course not! Why? Because the Father loves the child and meets all of his or her needs. This is why the Bible says that "my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus"(Phil. 4:19). What does it say? My God shall supply all your needs. All is a lot, all is the whole thing! :-) So what do you lack? Absolutely nothing. And it is all according to His glorious riches which He has given us in Christ Jesus. Remember, He is blessed and lacks nothing. He blessed Solomon and King David with an abundance because He himself has an abundance. He has the glorious riches. And how has He chosen to give them to us? Through His Son Christ Jesus. Make sense? Hallelujah! Praise the Lord! God bless.

Being Thankful to God!
How long has it been since you have thanked the Big Man upstairs for what you have? How about thanking a friend or love one for all the help and support that they show. Thankfulness is a wonderful thing, and it is part of our nature. When we are thankful we are most happy. Giving thanks feels good and it helps us. It also lets others know that we care for them and appreciate them. So give thanks today for all that you have. As soon as you count your blessings your worries will go away.
So let thanks be the core and foundation of your day. Instead of worrying or stressing, give thanks to the Lord instead. Be thankful for all that you have, and watch your blessings multiply. God hears your praise and richly rewards you for giving Him recognition for all that you have. So be kind and considerate and give back to the One who has given so much to you. A sacrifice of your time to thank Him for all that He has done. You will be blessed for doing so. When you count your blessings, you will see them multiply. Be kind and considerate to others and let them see God in you. You are a Child and Son of God, so be thankful for all that you have. Let God know that you care and that you want to hear His voice and be in His prescence. Remember that thankfulness brings you closer to the one that you love, and shows him/her that you care. Plus, it is always a blessing to receive thanks from somebody. It let's you feel that you didn't go unnoticed and that you are appreciated for what you have done. Be aware of God, not just your surroundings, but the One who is always surrounding you, and you will be very blessed in doing so.
Also remember, that sometimes it takes time to heal a wound, but Jesus is the healer. So let Him in, and let Him do His work and what He came to do. He is the healer of the wounded. No matter what it is, He will heal you, just give it to Him. He seeks to heal all that come to Him in trust. Don't let your pride turn you away, it is only weakness in not confessing that you need help. Don't try to cover up what is really there, but be honest and open with God because He already knows all. Trust Him with all your heart and soul and with everything, because He will take care of you and show you the true way to happiness and to a very blessed life in Him. Let Him show you the way, He will lead you and guide you through every dark ally and narrow path in life, He will be there be your side to help and see you through. So look to Him and to no other, because He alone can save you from all that troubles and ails you, and He will set you up on high! Sing Him praise!
Be not distressed nor worried nor troubled, but sing Him praise for the victory that He has already won. Take the Promised Land that He has already promised to the forefathers, take it because it is yours and it is mine through Him. He has already given it to us. He has purchased it for us, He has laid done His very life for us, and He calls to us to accept what is already yours and mine, and to march into that Promised Land that He has given to us with trumpets blazing and shouts of victory. Let the enemy know that it is over. Zion belongs to us. Celebrate the victory that has already been won. Let Jesus know that He has won it all. Thank Him and praise Him for the battle has already been won. Lives have been changed, and countless more to come. Fears have been erased and and debts have been erased. Raise up the banner and shout victory and thanks unto our Great and Mighty God, our King, Rock, and Redeemer. Let Him know that we appreciate Him for all that He has done for us, for now and for all eternity. Thank you Lord Jesus. Sing unto Zion a shout of thanksgiving and praise for the time draws near. The children shall take what is already theirs. Amen.
Have a great day! God bless.
